Orders placed before 2pm will ship the same day (M-F). Orders placed after 2pm will ship the following business day.
Once your order has shipped, a tracking confirmation will be sent to the email you provided at checkout.
After adding items to your cart and confirming your address, expedited shipping options like next day air and others are available for an additional cost. Please be aware that shipping days are Monday - Friday.

Yes, All the locks on your order can be keyed alike or keyed to a specific key number of your choice. Add this request as a note when checking out. Large keying orders or master keying requests may be subject to additional charges. Please contact support@homedesignhardware.com for quotes and questions.

Hardware FAQ

The terms "satin" and "brushed" can often be used interchangeably, and refer to a matte finish, instead of a polished finish.
Residential door handing is determined from the exterior side of the door and depends on the hinges. If you stand outside of your door, and the hinges are on your right, the door is right-handed. If you stand outside the door and the hinges are on the left, the door is left-handed. In-swing or out-swing doesn't matter; it's always the hinge side. Diagram for determining door handing
6AL stands for "six-way adjustable latch," and indicates that the latch can be adjusted to either a 2-3/4" or a 2-3/8" backset and has both round corner and square corner faceplates and a drive-in collar for the latch.
The backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the large bore hole for the lockset. Most standard doors have either a 2-3/8" backset or a 2-3/4" backset.
SMT stands for "SmartKey Security" in Kwikset locks. SmartKey Security® features re-key technology, which allows you to re-key your locks yourself in seconds.
